Katie turned 15 today! Clear the road! This year we decided that we would take Katie to Panama City for her birthday, after "fidgeting" with everyone's work/ school schedule the soonest date we could book a condo was the 2 weeks AFTER her birthday. So we had a small family birthday party for her on her real birthday. After the the candles were blown out... the immediate question was... When are you going to get your driving permit?!? It hadn't really crossed mom's mind that this was the year Katie get's to start driving.
I took it upon myself to give her first driving lesson. A short "at home drivers ED briefing," (AKA: don't go over 20 MPH, heres the brake, and PLEASE don't wreak my car) we were off.
We choose a dirt road and began to pray for our life ( =
For a first timer, she did ok. She can barely see of the steering wheel, and she's REALLY skittish about oncoming cars, but loves playing "my favorite light" (She's a fan of BRIGHT LIGHTS- bright lights, regular lights, bright lights, regular lights, BLINKER?!?!? WHERE'S THAT?!? ( =
We are FAR from driving on a REAL road, but we'll start working on it more often, and hopefully she'll be a pro in no time. ( =
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE!
